Bamboo Composite Cladding Price in Kenya

Bamboo composite cladding in Kenya starts from KSh 3,459 per square meter for materials (Wide Overlap profile), rising to KSh 4,864 per square meter for the Slatted Panel profile. These are materials-only prices for the panel itself; installation is quoted per project based on substructure and site conditions. As Kenya's only local bamboo composite manufacturer, We Do Bamboo prices materials directly, without the import markup that applies to most cladding sold in Kenya.

What Determines the Price

The price of composite cladding per square meter in Kenya depends on a few factors that aren't always obvious from a single quoted number:

  • Panel profile; Wide Overlap (solid, lapped profile, full wall coverage, strongest weather protection) or Slatted Panel (open-profile, linear architectural look, for facades and boundary walls). These aren't tiers of the same product. They're different looks with different coverage, and price reflects that.

  • Materials only vs. supply-and-install; many Kenyan suppliers quote per-piece prices that don't include labor; others bundle installation. The prices below are materials only. Always confirm which you're being quoted when comparing suppliers.

  • Subframe; cladding needs a timber, plastic or aluminium subframe fixed to the wall, creating a ventilated cavity behind the boards; this is typically quoted separately per project.

  • Project size and wall complexity; larger, simpler wall runs typically bring the per-m² installation cost down; corners, openings and detailing add labor time.

Price Per Square Meter - By Profile

  • Wide Overlap; from KSh 3,459/m² - Full solid wall coverage, strongest weather protection, facades and boundary walls

  • Fluted Wall Panel; from KSh 4,437/m² - Textured, ribbed surface; feature walls, also usable on exterior facades

  • Slatted Panel; from KSh 4,864/m² - Open-slat architectural look, contemporary linear facades

How Our Price Compares to Fibre Cement and Painted Render

Most exterior cladding alternatives in Kenya are fibre cement or painted render. Both require ongoing maintenance: fibre cement needs repainting or recoating over time, and painted render is prone to peeling, cracking and staining in East Africa's sun and rain. We Do Bamboo cladding doesn't need painting, sealing or recoating, and is made locally in Sigona, Rungiri, Nairobi. No shipping lead times, no import duty built into the price, and a material designed specifically for East Africa's UV, humidity and termite conditions.

Our Wide Overlap profile, at KSh 3,459/m² for materials, is priced to compete directly with these alternatives once their repeat maintenance cost is factored in.

What's Included in the Price

To avoid the confusion common with other suppliers' pricing pages, where it's often unclear whether a quoted figure is per piece, per m², materials-only, or fully installed. Here's what each price point covers:

  • The panel price above covers materials only, supplied from our Sigona production facility.

  • Installation (labor, subframe/battens, fasteners) is quoted separately per project, since it depends on wall condition, height and project size.

  • Delivery within Nairobi and surrounding regions is available through our logistics partners; orders can also be collected directly from the factory.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is composite cladding installed per m² in Kenya?

Materials start from KSh 3,459 per m² for our Wide Overlap profile. Installation is quoted separately based on your wall condition and subframe requirements. Request a quote for an exact installed price per m².

How much would 20 square meters of composite cladding cost?

At KSh 3,459 per m² (Wide Overlap), 20m² of cladding costs approximately KSh 69,180 for materials. For Fluted Wall Panel it's approximately KSh 88,740, and for Slatted Panel approximately KSh 97,280. All materials only, before installation.

How much does composite cladding cost per square meter?

It depends on the profile: from KSh 3,459/m² for Wide Overlap, KSh 4,437/m² for Fluted Wall Panel, and KSh 4,864/m² for Slatted Panel (materials only, current pricing). These are different products, not tiers — Wide Overlap is full solid coverage, Fluted Wall Panel has a textured ribbed surface and works both indoors and outdoors, and Slatted Panel is an open-slat architectural look.

Can the Fluted Wall Panel be used outdoors?

Yes — while it's often chosen for interior feature walls, it can also be used as exterior cladding. Pricing is the same as for our other cladding profiles, from KSh 4,437 per m² (materials only).

How much does it cost to install composite cladding?

Installation cost depends on subframe type, wall condition, height and project size, and is quoted per project. Contact our team for an installed price for your specific project.

How does composite cladding compare in cost to fibre cement or painted render in Kenya?

Fibre cement and painted render are often cheaper to install initially, but both require repeat maintenance — repainting, recoating, or repair after peeling and cracking — which composite cladding avoids. Factoring in maintenance over a building's lifetime narrows or removes the upfront cost gap; ask our team for a like-for-like comparison for your project's timeframe.
