Bamboo Chips
Our bamboo chips are produced from mature Kenyan bamboo and processed into a clean, consistent feedstock for high-volume industrial use. Suitable for pulp and paper, gasification, activated carbon, biochar and composite manufacturing. Available in multiple grades and moisture levels to match your processing requirements.

Also Available: Crushed Bamboo (Finer Grade)
For applications requiring higher fiber surface area or finer particle size, we also supply crushed bamboo, a fiber-rich grade produced through additional mechanical size reduction. Suitable for biocomposites, bioplastics, molded fiber packaging and natural fiber reinforcement. Available on request in customised particle sizes.

Reliable. Versatile. Ready for industry. Fiber rich bamboo chips for global applications.
Our fiber rich bamboo chips are sustainably sourced from Kenyan farmers and processed in Nairobi for consistent quality and traceability.
Supplied in bulk, they are a versatile raw material for a wide range of industries, from engineered boards and pulp to bioplastics and energy generation.
With controlled drying and screening, every batch is prepared to meet international standards, supported by batch documentation and Certificates of Analysis (COA) upon request.
Ideal Applications
-
Biocomposites & Bioplastics
Crushed Bamboo acts as an excellent natural filler for PLA, PBAT, PHAs, and other bio-based polymers. Its longer fibers enhance stiffness, strength, and the natural visual appeal of molded parts.
-
Panel Boards & Engineered Boards
A reliable input material for particle board, MDF, and acoustic panels, Crushed Bamboo increases density and contributes to stronger, more stable composites.
-
Molded Fiber Packaging
Ideal for thermoformed packaging applications.
The fibers blend well with pulp and reinforce molded trays, food containers, cups, and protective packaging.
-
Pulp & Specialty Paper
Can be used as a pre-pulp material or integrated as a reinforcing fiber in specialty papers and eco-packaging.
-
Bioenergy & Gasification
With its high calorific value and compacting properties, Crushed Bamboo performs well in briquettes, pellets, and gasifier systems.
-
Agriculture & Landscaping
A sustainable mulch and soil-improving material that supports moisture retention and soil health.

Frequently Asked Questions
Bamboo chips are coarser, uniform pieces produced by mechanical chipping of mature bamboo culms. Crushed bamboo is a finer, fiber-rich grade produced through additional mechanical size reduction, resulting in a material with higher surface area and longer exposed fibers. Crushed bamboo is better suited to composite and bioplastic applications where fiber reinforcement is important, while standard chips are more commonly used for pulp, gasification and energy applications.
What moisture content do your bamboo chips have?
Our bamboo chips are dried to a target moisture content below 12%, which makes them suitable for most industrial processing applications including gasification, pelletising and composite manufacturing. If your process requires a specific moisture level, we can adjust drying parameters to meet your specification. Please include your moisture requirements when requesting a quote.
Do you supply bamboo chips for biochar or bioenergy production?
Yes. Bamboo chips and crushed bamboo are both suitable feedstocks for biochar production, gasification systems, pellet manufacturing and briquetting. Bamboo has a high calorific value and low ash content compared to many wood-based alternatives, making it an efficient and renewable energy feedstock. We can supply pilot volumes for process trials as well as multi-container monthly volumes for commercial-scale operations.
Can bamboo chips from Kenya be certified or traceable?
Yes. All our bamboo chips are sourced from our network of Kenyan farmers and processed at our facility in Nairobi. Each batch is accompanied by documentation including a Certificate of Analysis (COA). For buyers requiring additional traceability documentation or sustainability reporting for their supply chain, please discuss your requirements with our team when requesting a quote.
