  • Moisture Resistant; Suitable for interior and covered outdoor use

  • Long Lifespan; Durable alternative to timber flooring

  • Residential & Commercial; Suitable for homes and commercial projects

Where our flooring is used

The Elegant flooring board is used in residential and commercial interiors across Kenya and South Africa, from living rooms and bedrooms in Nairobi homes to hotel lobbies, office floors and hospitality interiors in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Suitable for any interior space where a premium wood-look floor is desired.

Why choose bamboo composite flooring over hardwood?

Unlike natural hardwood, bamboo composite flooring does not warp, splinter or require annual oiling. It is resistant to moisture and termite damage, both common issues in East Africa, and maintains its appearance over time with minimal upkeep. The interlocking installation system reduces labour time and allows for straightforward replacement of individual boards if needed.

How to Install Bamboo Composite Indoor Flooring

The Elegant flooring board uses an interlocking click system that fits directly onto a flat, dry subfloor without the need for adhesive. Boards should be acclimatised to the room temperature for 24–48 hours before installation. An expansion gap of 8–10 mm around the perimeter of the room is recommended to allow for thermal movement. Installation is straightforward for experienced builders and interior contractors. For technical guidance or installation support, contact our team directly.

Designed for indoor comfort

The Elegant flooring board is designed with indoor comfort in mind. The smooth, woodgrain surface is warm underfoot and creates a premium feel in any interior space. Unlike cold tiles or high-maintenance hardwood, bamboo composite flooring maintains a consistent appearance year-round without warping, fading or requiring specialist treatment, even in Kenya's humid climate or South Africa's temperature extremes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is bamboo composite flooring only suitable for indoor use?

Yes. The Elegant flooring board is designed specifically for interior spaces. Unlike our outdoor decking profiles, it is not engineered for direct exposure to rain or prolonged moisture. It is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, offices, hotel lobbies and other covered interior environments.

Is bamboo composite flooring termite and moisture resistant?

Yes. Bamboo composite flooring is naturally resistant to termites and moisture, two common challenges with natural hardwood flooring in East Africa and South Africa. It will not warp, swell or splinter in humid conditions, making it a reliable long-term choice for interior floors.

Can bamboo composite flooring be installed over existing tiles or screed?

Yes. The interlocking click system allows the Elegant board to be installed directly over a flat, dry subfloor, including existing tiles or concrete screed. The subfloor should be level to within 3mm over 2 metres for best results.

How does bamboo composite flooring compare to ceramic tiles?

Unlike ceramic tiles, bamboo composite flooring is warm underfoot, visually more inviting and significantly quieter to walk on. It does not require grout or specialist cleaning products and can be replaced board by board if damaged, without lifting the entire floor.
