"We installed decking in Savannah Gold for our outdoor terrace after experiencing discoloration issues with a previous supplier. The difference is clear. The finish looks clean, and the overall quality feels much more reliable."

How to Install Bamboo Composite Decking
Bamboo composite decking is installed using a hidden clip system, which keeps the surface clean and fastener-free. Boards are laid over a subframe of aluminium, metal, or treated timber joists, spaced at maximum 400mm intervals. A small expansion gap of 5–8mm between boards is recommended to allow for thermal movement in Kenya's and South Africa's climate. No specialist tools are required, most installations can be completed by an experienced builder or contractor. For technical guidance or installation support, contact our team directly.
Designed for East and Southern African Climates
Kenya and South Africa both demand materials that handle intense sun, moisture and temperature changes. Our bamboo composite decking is engineered to perform consistently in these conditions, making it a reliable choice for outdoor spaces across the region.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does bamboo composite decking last?
Our bamboo composite decking is designed to last a minimum of 10 years, even under Kenya's intense UV exposure, heavy rains and humidity. In practice the life span can even reach 25 years or more. Unlike tropical hardwood, it does not warp, crack or require annual treatment to maintain its performance outdoors.
Is bamboo composite decking suitable for pool areas?
Yes. Our decking profiles are moisture-resistant, slip-resistant underfoot and unaffected by chlorine or salt water exposure, making them well suited for pool decks, spa areas and other wet outdoor environments across Kenya and South Africa.
What is the difference between the Essential, Core, Solid and Elegant decking profiles?
The Essential profile is our entry-level hollow-core board, lightweight and cost-effective for standard residential terraces. The Core profile offers a thicker hollow design for higher traffic areas. The Solid profile is our heaviest board, ideal for commercial projects and high-load applications. The Elegant profile has a refined wood-grain finish suited for premium residential and hospitality projects
How do I install bamboo composite decking?
Our decking boards are installed using a hidden clip system on a subframe of joists spaced at 400mm centres. An expansion gap of 5–8mm between boards is recommended to allow for thermal movement. Full installation guidelines are available on request.
Does bamboo composite decking get hot in direct sunlight?
Darker coloured boards absorb more heat than lighter tones in direct sunlight, as with any outdoor surface material. For pool areas and barefoot use in high-sun locations like Nairobi or Johannesburg, we recommend lighter colour options or installing shade structures above the deck.
