Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between bamboo composite decking, cladding and wall panels?
Decking is designed for horizontal outdoor surfaces such as terraces, pool areas and walkways. Cladding is used for vertical exterior facades and interior feature walls. Fluted wall panels are mostly used for decorative interior applications such as hotel lobbies, offices and bedrooms. All three products are made from the same bamboo composite material but are engineered differently for their specific application.
Are bamboo composite products suitable for both residential and commercial projects?
Yes. Our bamboo composite decking, cladding and wall panels are used in a wide range of projects, from private homes and apartments to hotels, offices and large commercial developments. The material is engineered to perform under high-traffic conditions and demanding architectural requirements.
What is bamboo composite made of and why is it better than tropical hardwood?
Our bamboo composite products are made from a blend of bamboo powder and 100% recycled plastic. Compared to tropical hardwood, bamboo composite requires no sanding, sealing or repainting, is naturally resistant to termites and moisture, and does not contribute to deforestation. It offers a similar natural wood aesthetic with significantly lower lifetime maintenance costs.
Where are your bamboo composite products manufactured?
All our bamboo composite products are manufactured at our facility in Sigona, Rungiri, Nairobi, Kenya. We are Kenya's first and only professional bamboo composite manufacturer. Products are supplied to projects across Kenya, South Africa and internationally.
