Testing in Progress: Bringing Our BPC Production Line to Life

Big milestones often happen quietly, behind factory doors, surrounded by engineers, cables, and the hum of machines. That’s exactly where we are right now.
Our Bamboo Plastic Composite (BPC) production line is still at the manufacturer’s site — thousands of kilometers away from Kenya — undergoing its final round of tests.
Why Testing Before Shipment Matters
Before the machines are packed into containers and shipped to Nairobi, we need to be sure everything works as it should.
That means:
Checking every motor, sensor, and control panel
Testing the feeding systems, the extruder, the vacuum line and the cooling systems
Running bamboo powder and recycled plastic through the line for the very first time
Monitoring temperatures, pressures and material flow
The goal? Catch any issues now, not after arrival. Once the machines land in Kenya, installation and commissioning will already be challenging enough — we don’t want surprises.
First Material Out of the Extruder
Last week, we reached an exciting moment: the first material coming out of the extruder.
It’s far from a finished product. This is still all about technical testing. But seeing raw bamboo powder and recycled plastic blend and form into a continuous profile was a big step forward.
For our team, it’s a visible sign that months of planning, sourcing and coordination are starting to pay off.
Next Step: Shipment to Kenya
Once the current testing phase is complete, the machines will be carefully disassembled and packed for sea freight to Nairobi. Arrival at our site will mark the start of the next chapter: installation, commissioning, and eventually; local production of BPC decking, cladding and wall panels.
Why This Matters
We’re getting closer to something that hasn’t been done at this scale in Kenya before:producing sustainable building materials, locally, using bamboo.
This project isn’t just about machines. It’s about creating jobs, building local expertise, and reducing the country’s dependency on imported construction materials.
One test at a time. One milestone at a time.
We’ll keep you posted.
