At We Do Bamboo, we believe bamboo can change the way we build.
From our factory in Sigona, Kenya, we manufacture bamboo composite decking, cladding and wall panels. By turning locally sourced bamboo into durable building materials, we're working to create alternatives to conventional timber products while supporting local manufacturing.

From bamboo arriving at our factory to finished products being installed in beautiful homes, lodges and commercial projects across Kenya, there's always something happening.
Now we're looking for a creative, energetic Social Media Content Creator who can bring these stories to life.
About the Role
Do you enjoy creating TikToks and Instagram Reels? Do you have an eye for interesting shots, know how to tell a story in 30 seconds and love experimenting with new ideas?
Then we'd like to hear from you.
We're looking for someone who can take an idea and turn it into engaging social media content, from filming and editing to publishing.
You'll spend time at our factory, visit customer projects, meet the people behind our products and show our audience what we're building.
Your main focus will be TikTok and Instagram, creating original short-form videos that help more people discover We Do Bamboo.
You'll also help manage our other social media channels, working closely with our sales and management teams.
This is a practical, creative role. We want someone who enjoys being out there with a camera, not someone who spends the entire day behind a desk.
Your Responsibilities
Content Creation
• Develop creative ideas for TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, Stories and other social media content.
• Film and photograph our products, factory operations, team members, installations and completed projects.
• Edit videos with engaging hooks, captions, music, transitions and storytelling.
• Follow social media trends and adapt relevant formats to our brand.
• Create content that makes building materials interesting, accessible and inspiring.
• Work with colleagues, installers and customers to capture authentic stories and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Build and maintain a library of photos and videos for future marketing use.
Social Media Management
• Manage and regularly publish content on our TikTok and Instagram accounts.
• Adapt selected content for Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Help develop and maintain a consistent content calendar.
• Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages and mentions.
• Coordinate with our sales team when potential customers reach out through social media.
• Monitor content performance and use insights to improve future posts.
• Help grow our online community and increase awareness of We Do Bamboo in Kenya.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for creativity, initiative and proven content creation skills.
• Experience creating short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram or similar platforms.
• Good filming skills using a smartphone or camera.
• Confidence editing videos using CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere or similar software.
• A good understanding of what makes people stop scrolling, watch and engage.
• Familiarity with Canva or other basic graphic design tools.
• Strong communication skills in English and Swahili.
• A creative mindset and the confidence to suggest and test new ideas.
• The ability to work independently, organise your time and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to regularly visit our factory, construction sites and customer projects.
• A positive, hands-on attitude and enthusiasm for working with a growing company.
Previous experience managing a business social media account is an advantage, but your creativity and portfolio matter more to us than formal qualifications.
An interest in architecture, interior design, construction or sustainability would be a bonus.
